I started this MewHeart recreation project sometime last year and finally got around to finishing it up. I was so sad to see that the original MewHeart resource site had gone down, which is why I wanted to preserve the cute images in the first place. When I searched MewHeart just today to pull up some wayback machine images that I might also want to include, I saw that in January 2023 someone named Sam had made a neocities page that looks just like the OG MewHeart webpage!! They recreated it much more faithfully, which I love.

Here is what they say about their site:
"...What is MewHeart @ Neocities?
This site is a recreation of the original English MewHeart.
I'm writing the code myself and re-using assets from the original site to create a copy.
I'd like this recreation to be a functioning archive of the original English Mewheart."

Update 5/14/2026: Another MewHeart website preservationist got in touch with me lately, they did an amazing job at capturing the essence of the most recent Japanese version of the site. Check it out here! They are also continuing to add more free pokemon pixel resources, which is amazing.

Words from the OG MewHeart Site (mind you, this is how the english was translated back in teh day, we didn't have google translate being reliable back then):)
"Although it is fundamentally free, copyright has not abandoned.
It forbids using a free material for the use of those other than an individual homepage, and the commercial purpose.
Please use it by processing a picture or re-supplying the others widely should withhold.
In case you use a material, please use it for bringing home, without stretching a direct link.

This site is a site which it creates in the range of an individual hobby completely, is nonprofit, and is managed.
If an inconvenient point etc. is in the contents of printing of this site at the persons concerned, please contact me by mail.
It is allowed to carry out an improvement or a printing stop immediately."

Message from Clover:
The rules of the original creator of MewHeart still applies to these assets. The creators wanted these assets to go out to people for them to use, but they just didn't want them stolen or for someone else to claim as their own. Web materials on this site are for PERSONAL use only (on your website, blog, etc). Feel free to link back here if you use any of the materials, but its not required. You could even link back to the original JP site, but it would be via the way back machine which doesn't always have all the images loading correctly. To be clear, I did not create any of the web materials!!! Just sharing from an old site I used to visit that is no longer functioning.
